Swanley & North Downs Lions Club Bike around Brands

Swanley and North Downs Lions are once again running a sponsored bicycle event at Brands Hatch, on the famous 1.2 mile Indy Circuit. It is not a race, and participants set their own target for the number of laps they intend to complete.

Admission to the track will be from 6.00 p.m. until approx. 8.00 p.m.

There is no need to pre-book, but on the day each cyclist must register in the Kentagon bar/restaurant & collect a circuit entry pass. Those 14 years of age or under must be accompanied by a riding adult at all times whilst on the circuit. All riders will be asked to sign to accept Brands’ conditions for taking part, & under 18s must have a parent or responsible adult present, when registering, to accept those conditions on their behalf. All riders are advised to wear appropriate protective clothing, particularly an approved helmet.

Participants are encouraged to contribute as much as possible, but as a minimum each rider is asked to raise sponsorship, or make a personal donation, of at least £15 (£5 for those who are 14 years old and under), payable by cash or cheque when registering if not sponsored for more.

100% of the money raised, after meeting track hire costs etc., will be used to benefit folk in need. It will help to support local individuals or families, the work of the Ellenor Hospice team and other worthy charitable organisations.
